INGREDIENTS
- 2 (10 ounce) ribeye/ top sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tsp of garlic seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of kosher salt
- 1 tsp of pepper
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 3 tbsp of chopped fresh rosemary
- 4 cloves of garlic (roughly chopped)
- 5 tablespoons of butter
DIRECTIONS
- Combine small bowl with salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning.
- Rub the steak with seasoning.
- Heat up pan to high heat. Combine olive oil.
- Once pan is HOT (I mean HOT) carefully place the steaks on the pan away from you (so that the oil doesn’t hit you).
- Grill the steak for 1-5 minutes for each side. See picture below for reference!
- Once your steak is cooked, remove from the pan onto a cooling rack.
- In the same pan, combine butter, garlic, and rosemary. Sauté together for 3 minutes on medium heat.
- Add back in your cooked steak. Baste each side of your steak with the butter mixture for 1 minute.
- Remove and let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes
prior to cutting! - Serve with your choice of steamed vegetables/ potatoes, and enjoy!
-
Allow steak to be room temperature PRIOR to cooking!
-
Make sure your pan is HOT!
If it is not, the steak will not sear properly!
-
Do not constantly check to see the bottom of the steak while cooking. Allow the steak to cook undisturbed before flipping.
- Be careful to not burn your rosemary, as this will give it a bitter taste!
