Let this be a warning for all of those who try this recipe… these cookies are DANGEROUS. I repeat DANGEROUS. Seriously, once you have one, you cannot stop. The soft, chewy, and spicy nature of these cookies make them hard to resist. Next thing I know, I’ll have to remove this post because of the chaos I have caused… haha. Jokes aside, this is one of my all-time go-to recipes for a quick, easy, and scrumptious snack.

INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup butter (cubed & softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses (Tip: oil your measuring cup prior to pouring this in)
- 1 tbsp of orange juice
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 1/3 cup of flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 2 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp of ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 cup of white sugar (for rolling)
DIRECTIONS
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream together the butter & sugar until light and creamy. Add in the egg, molasses, orange juice, and vanilla extract. Gradually add in your sifted mixture. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Place your mixture in the freezer for about 15 minutes and preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Remove your mixture from the freezer. Using a spoon, scoop up your mixture and roll into 1 inch balls. Then roll in the white sugar.
- Line your baking pan with parchment paper, and set your cookies on the paper. Make sure they are at least 2 inches away from each other. Using another spatula, slightly flatten out each cookie.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes depending on the size of your cookie. Once cooked, let the cookies sit on the pan for 3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Serve & Enjoy! =)
Consider yourselves warned! 😉
